Enhancing Email Deliverability with Yahoo Sender Hub

In the ever-evolving landscape of email marketing, ensuring that your messages reach the intended recipients' inboxes is paramount. Enter Yahoo Sender Hub, a platform designed to help email marketers and organizations optimize their email deliverability to Yahoo Mail users. Let's explore what Yahoo Sender Hub is and what are its key features.

What is Yahoo Sender Hub?

Yahoo Sender Hub is a comprehensive platform developed by Yahoo aimed at helping senders understand and enhance their email sending practices.
The Sender Hub Dashboard was announced in this blog post.

At the moment, the only available feature is a new Complaint Feedback Loop (CFL) service, which replaces the old CFL service accessible via the web form (now decommissioned). But Yahoo has already announced that other features (most likely around BIMI and AMP) will be added later. Operation is similar to the previous version of CFL with minor modifications and remains linked to DKIM domains.

In order to continue receiving complaint data, senders already enrolled in the previous CFL service will need to create an account in Sender Hub and re-enroll before August 1, 2024, as the old Yahoo CFL will be discontinued on this date.

What's new:

  • Before you can enroll your domain(s) in the new FBL, you must first prove ownership by adding a TXT record to your DNS (similar to what is required for Google Postmaster Tools).

  • Unlike the previous version, it is no longer necessary to register for each selector used to sign emails with DKIM. By default, unless you specify a particular selector, all selectors will be considered.
  • After adding your previously verified domain and its reporting address in the “Complaint Feedback Loop” section, you will need to enter a one-time code sent to the reporting address in order to finalize the FBL activation. PowerMTA users can use the following settings in the fbl-processor to temporarily enable forwarding of the email containing this one-time code to their own address:
  • The new interface now makes it easy to change the reporting address, add a selector, or unsubscribe the FBL for any of your domains.
